Our History
Our Philosophy
- Identify quality low risk development opportunities using proven geological modeling to identify large reserve opportunities
- Locate and contract the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals (geologists, geophysicists, engineers, land professionals) in our project areas
1999 - 2003
- Developed an in-fill drilling program in 5 Woodbine fields
- Secured leasehold and farm-outs from Mitchell Energy, Faulconer Oil & Gas and Texaco
- Formed joint venture with Comstock Resources and Classic Oil & Gas (XTO)
- Drilled 11 in-fill wells in Sugar Creek, Damascus, Seven Oaks, Leggett, and Hortense Fields in Polk and Tyler counties, Texas
2000 - 2008
- Developed a geological model for evaluating the Woodbine below the Cretaceous shelf edge
- Proposed and acquired ~200 square miles of 3-D data in 2003-2004
- Formed a joint venture with Dominion, Santos USA, et al. with priority placed on upper and lower/basal Woodbine
- Purchased more than 75,000 nma of leasehold
- Generated inventory of Miocene, Yegua, upper and lower Wilcox, and Woodbine prospects using 3-D data
- Drilled five 14-15,000 foot upper Woodbine test wells
- Drilled one 18,500 foot deep/basal Woodbine test well
2004 - 2008
- Developed a geological model for developing gas wells in the Ardmore basin in the Woodford shale - Carter, Johnson, Marshall, Bryan and Choctaw counties, Oklahoma
- Formed a joint venture with Waveland Energy Partners
- Acquired 43,000 nma of leasehold
- Operated a 14 well drilling program
- Formed pipeline company with 30 miles of gathering lines, 2 taps in 42 inch trunk line, and 40 acres of compression sites
- Sold 70% of joint venture for equivalent of $100MM
2009 - 2012
- Formed joint venture with PetroHunt
- Drilled 16,000 foot upper Woodbine test
- Drilled 10,000 foot lower Wilcox test well
2010 - 2015
- Developed a new geological concept play in the Montana Bakken
- Acquired 24,000 nma of leasehold along a fractured trend
2011 - Present
- "Big Sandy" prospect - Oracle's "Cripple Creek" prospect
- Shallow Yegua/Cockfield project, single pipe, no pressure
- 10 wells drilled - 8 producers
- 1.2MMBO estimated reserves
2014 - Present
- Oracle begins re-examining its inventory for undrilled opportunities
- Downturn in pricing reopens opportunities to secure leasehold on expiring non-producing lands previously held by Unit, et al.
- 15 square miles of Knight 3D reprocessed by Hardin International in August, 2016
- Conventional, shallow oil prospects identified using the 200 sq. mi. Knight 3-D data set and 15 years of well data and area experience
- Focus on shallow oil - no pressure, single pipe string prospects
